'Dizzee Rascal is welcome to pop round the Queen Vic' - 'EastEnders' tell NME.COM
Dizzee is invited to 'swing by the Queen Vic' if he wants to
Tabloid reports today (August 5) see the east London rapper state that he sees acting as a "natural progression" from music.
"I could see myself on 'EastEnders' one day – they just need to offer me a role and I'm there," The Sun quotes him as saying.
In response to the claims, an 'EastEnders' spokeswoman told NME.COM that Dizzee would be welcome to pop down to the set.
"It's great to hear Dizzee Rascal is such a big 'EastEnders' fan - he's a brilliant performer and a true EastEnder so he'd be very welcome to swing by the Queen Vic if he's ever in Walford," she said.
Regarding Dizzee Rascal being offered an acting role in the soap, the spokeswoman stated that nothing is confirmed at present, though she wouldn't rule out him being offered something in the future.
"It's not out of the question, but we've certainly not got anything sorted with regards to him joining the programme," they explained.
