Dizzee Rascal took to the Leeds Festival Main Stage today (August 27) to kick off the first main evening of music on site.

The rapper, who has been trying his hand at being a reality TV judge on talent show Must Be The Music, performed a 45-minute set which included singles 'Dance Wiv Me' and 'Fix Up, Look Sharp'.

Standing in front of a backdrop of his face, Dizzee shouted into his gold microphone: "Leeds Festival 2010, what the fuck's going on? If you're soft, get away from the front. It's time to get a bit heavy, let's go. 'Fix Up…'."

Later he played his mash-up of 'Stand Up Tall' and Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', asking the audience, "Where's the fucking mosh pit crew?"

Dizzee left the stage 35 minutes into his set and then returned, telling the audience: "You know I couldn't leave you like that, could I? It's time to get a little bit bonkers!"
