Warrants have been issued for the arrest of rapper DMX, after he failed to show up for a number of court appearances relating to traffic offences.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was pulled over for speeding, driving dangerously, not wearing a seatbelt and driving with a suspended license.
The rapper was due in court in White Plains, NY yesterday (April 10), but failed to appear, having apparently missed a flight. The judge then gave him until 2pm today to show up, which he did not. He was also due to appear a court in Yonkers for a separate driving offence.
His lawyer Murray Richman admitted that he did not know of the rapper’s whereabouts, according to reports.
The rapper previously spent a night in jail having missed two previous court dates.
If picked up, DMX could be arrested and jailed.
