DMX pleads not guilty to latest felony charges
He also raps for reporters outside Phoenix courtroom
DMX has pleaded not guilty to the latest charges brought against him involving theft and identity theft.
The 37-year-old rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, also rapped for reporters today (July 24) outside a Phoenix courtroom to promote his new album.
Simmons has been charged with one count of theft and one count of taking someone else's identity. The rapper allegedly gave the name "Troy Jones" and an incorrect Social Security number to a Scottsdale hospital in April to avoid paying $7,500 in medical expenses, reports the Associated Press.
As a result, he was arrested Saturday (July 19) at a mall in Phoenix.
This is the latest in a long string of arrests for DMX on charges ranging from animal cruelty to traffic and drugs charges, and failing to appear in court.
