Doves rolled out the hits last night (May 2) as their UK tour visited Blackburn.

The band, who recently released a 'Best Of' compilation called 'The Places Between', played a career-spanning set before a sold-out crowd at King George's Hall.

Among the surprises on the evening were rare performances of B-sides 'Push Me On' and 'Eleven Miles Out', as well as recent single 'Andalucía' and another new track which features on the compilation, 'Blue Water'.

But the majority of the set was composed of the band's best-known singles, including 'Pounding', 'Black And White Town', 'The Cedar Room' and 'There Goes The Fear'.

The group closed the set with 'Space Face' by their previous incarnation Sub Sub.

Doves played:

'Firesuite'
'Push Me On'
'Snowden'
'Pounding'
'Words'
'Eleven Miles Out'
'Jetstream'
'Where Were Calling From'
'House Of Mirrors'
'Andalucía'
'Blue Water'
'Kingdom Of Rust'
'Black And White Town'
'Caught By The River'
'The Cedar Room'
'Catch The Sun'
'Winter Hill'
'The Man Who Told Everything'
'There Goes The Fear'
'Space Face'

Earlier in the night support came from Cherry Ghost. Playing songs from their upcoming second album, 'Beneath This Burning Shoreline', the set included 'Luddite' and 'We Sleep On Stones'.

The UK tour continues tomorrow night (May 4) at Folkestone's Leas Cliff Hall.
