DOCTOR BEAT
Blimey, d'you think the big guy ever just like, y'know, chills?...
DR DRE is set to produce a number of tracks on the forthcoming new album by teenage hip- hop queen and member of DMX's RUFF RYDERS crew EVE, NME.COM can exclusively reveal.
The ubiquitous Dre had initially been approached to work on just a single track with Eve, but the pair liked the result so much they have now decided to head back into the studio in LA in the coming week to work through further sessions.
It is unclear exactly how much of the final album will be made up of Dre-produced tracks as fellow Ruff Ryder Swizz Beatz is understood to have produced the bulk of tracks already recorded.
Swizz Beatz also produced Eve's 1999 album 'Let There Be...'.
The Dre/Eve twinning has been a long time coming. Several years ago, Eve presented Dre with her first demo and the star was so impressed he attempted, unsuccessfully, to sign her to his Aftermath label.
