Drake has said he considers himself as the first person to be able successfully rap and sing.

Humble Drake told the Jewish Chronicle that while people had used melody on rap songs before him, he believes he is the first person to do it justice. "There were people who incorporated melody before me, but I would deem myself the first person to successfully rap and sing," he said.

Speaking about the persona of other hip-hop artists, Drake insisted that he was separate from the rest of the rap world. "I'm one of the few artists who gets to be himself every day," he said. "It doesn't take me six hours to get ready and I don't have to wake up in the morning and remember to act like this or talk like this. I just have to be me. That's one of the favourite parts of my life - I've done this purely by being myself."

Drake also added that he wasn't ready to settle down in his personal life just yet, saying he's enjoying his current "wild" lifestyle. "I'm 25 and single. I'm not supposed to care about deeper things right now, I'm supposed to be wild. But there are nights when you sit back and wonder, 'Damn, is this right?"

The Canadian rapper has previously said that his forthcoming third album is "one of the most exciting projects" he's ever worked on.

The follow up to 2011's 'Take Care' has seen the singer and rapper relocate to Los Angeles from Toronto. He said: "I'm in a different mindset now that I'm very proud of... It's going to be a very interesting album - probably, to be honest with you, conceptually one of the most exciting projects I've worked on, just because there's so many new things going on in my life."

Earlier this month, Chris Brown continued his feud with Drake by dissing him on a new track. Freestyling on a verse on Chief Keef's 'I Don't Like', Brown references his recent alleged club brawl with Drake: "They throwing bottles, I'm throwing models," he raps.

The pair had been involved in a alleged nightclub brawl last month, after it was reported that upon discovering they were in the same club, Brown sent a bottle over to Drake's table. The Toronto rapper then approached Brown and started arguing over Rihanna, Brown's ex-girlfriend who Drake also had a short relationship with.
