Drake has revealed that he is spending his summer finishing off his high school education.
The 25 year old Canadian hip hop artist told his hometown newspaper Now Toronto that he will be finally graduating from secondary education this year, after first performing this Sunday (August 5) with The Weeknd and A$AP Rocky at OVO Fest at the Molson Amphitheatre. He said:
I'm actually spending my summer graduating high school. That's my main focus after OVO Fest. I only have one credit left, and I'm really excited about that.
Drake recently said he considers himself as the first person to be able successfully rap and sing. He told the Jewish Chronicle that while people had used melody on rap songs before him, he believes he is the first person to do it justice. "There were people who incorporated melody before me, but I would deem myself the first person to successfully rap and sing," he said.
Drake has previously said that his forthcoming third album is "one of the most exciting projects" he's ever worked on.
The follow up to 2011's 'Take Care' has seen him relocate to Los Angeles from Toronto. He said: "I'm in a different mindset now that I'm very proud of... It's going to be a very interesting album - probably, to be honest with you, conceptually one of the most exciting projects I've worked on, just because there's so many new things going on in my life."
