Neither Drake nor Chris Brown will face charges over their alleged roles in a huge New York nightclub brawl which took place back in June.

Investigators found insufficient evidence to carry on with the case, according to TMZ. Surveillance footage was said to be too blurry and the police reports and interviews were inconclusive.

The incident, which took place at the WIP club earlier this year, saw the respective entourages of the singer and rapper allegedly clash, with Brown receiving a cut to his chin.

New York police were called to the popular nightclub to find five people had sustained injuries from the brawl. NBA star Tony Parker went on to sue the owners of the club for $20 million because of an eye injury while the owners of the trademarks to the club's name sued Drake and Brown for $16 million.

According to reports, the fight began after Chris Brown sent a bottle over to Drake's table. The Toronto rapper then approached Brown and started arguing over Rihanna, Brown's ex-girlfriend who Drake also had a short relationship with.

Brown later posted a picture of his gashed chin on Twitter along with a tirade of messages directed at Drake's crew, but they were later removed.
