Drake has been spotted filming what appears to be a cameo in the upcoming Anchorman sequel – watch a trailer for it below.

As you can see from the picture above, the singer and rapper donned an afro, gold chain and fat sideburns for the role. As Rolling Stone points out – this isn't his first go at acing. He appeared in Canadian teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation for seven seasons before he became a musician.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues is due for release later this year, and will reportedly feature cameo appearances from Kanye West, 30 Rock actress Tina Fey, Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler, Nicole Kidman, Vince Vaughn and Harrison Ford, who branded the filming experience "bizarre".

Released in 2004, the original Anchorman was a parody of a '70s TV newsroom written by Ferrell and director Adam McKay. The pair have also teamed up to write the sequel, which is slated for release on December 20.

Speaking last year, director McKay revealed a few teasers about the sequel's plot, saying: "I don't want to give away too much, but I'll just give a couple of ideas that we've kicked around. Keep in mind we're still writing the story, but I'll say one phrase for you: custody battle. I'll give you that. I'll give you another one: bowling for dollars."
