OSBOURNES PAY TRIBUTE TO DROWNING POOL STAR
THE OSBOURNES have lead the tributes paid to DROWNING POOL frontman DAVE WILLIAMS, who died on Wednesday (August 14).

The 30-year-old was discovered in his bunk on Drowning Pool's tourbus by his other band members. Cause of death has not yet been established. A post mortem conducted yesterday (August 16) has proven inconclusive and cause will now be established through toxicology tests, MTV reports. This can take between four to six weeks to complete.

In a statement issued yesterday, The Osbourne family said:
"Dave Williams was a beautiful man both inside and out. He is gone but will not be soon forgotten. We send our love to his family and bandmembers."

Remaining members of Drowning Pool have also offered their own tribute.

"We lost a band-mate and a best friend today," they said. "Dave Williams was one of a kind, and a friend to everyone he met. He was a good man, and a giving person. Not a day went by when he wasn't giving somebody a little present, and touching everyone around him with his passion.

"He was full of energy until the day he passed, and undeniably full of life. To the end, we were having a great time. We will miss him."

Tragedy struck as the band were on a day off in the middle of the Ozzfest tour. They had played in Noblesville, Indiana on Tuesday (August 13) and were on their way to Bristow, Virginia for a show last night.

Tributes have been pouring in for Williams.

Drowning Pool rose to fame on the back of success on last year's Ozzfest. They began the tour opening on the Third Stage and finished it with slot on the Second. They were a Main Stage band this year.

Williams will be buried following a public funeral in Texas on Sunday (August 18).

A memorial service will be held at the Plano Centre in Plano, Texas at 2pm local time. It is open to all who wish to pay their respects to Williams.
