Dry The River will release a new, limited edition 7" to coincide with this year's Record Store Day - scroll down to the bottom of the page to watch the trailer for 'Zaytoun'.

The release, which the band will put out next week (April 22), was recorded as a soundtrack for a film of the same name, which will be released in the US later this year and stars actor Stephen Dorff.

Dry The River are currently in Iceland, working on the follow-up to their 2011 debut album 'Shallow Bed'.

Record Store Day 2013 is already underway today (April 20), with a series of artists including Paul Weller, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Pulp, Biffy Clyro, The xx and Bat For Lashes have all put out special releases for the event.

Over 200 record stores are taking part in this year's event and will also host instore gigs in addition to stocking special releases and rare tracks. London's Rough Trade East will see appearances from Frank Turner, Public Service Broadcasting and King Midas Sound throughout the day, with Paul Weller set to perform backed by The Strypes at 8pm this evening.

Frank Turner will also be performing on an outside stage in London's Berwick Street, along with acts including Steve Mason, Smoke Fairies and Matthew E White, while Rise Records, in Bristol, has a lengthy list of performers including Empty Pools, Portico Quartet and Wild Smiles.

Other shows scheduled for today include Gold Panda and Luke Abbot performing at The Drift Record Store in Totnes at 5pm and Band Of Skulls playing at Southsea's Pie And Vinyl from 8pm, while Glasvegas will be playing an instore gig at Avalanche in Edinburgh. For a full list of events, see Recordstoreday.co.uk.

The latest issue of NME sees Frank Turner, Dave Grohl, Johnny Marr, Bat For Lashes and The Strokes' Julian Casablancas and many more also reveal what records they were listening to at the most important times of their lives in this week's Record Store Day special issue of NME, which is on newstands now and available digitally.
