UK chart-topper hits Stateside this spring

Duffy's debut album 'Rockferry' is set to be released in the US this spring.

The album, which came out in the UK this week, has already spawned a Number One hit on the UK charts with its first single 'Mercy'.

The Welsh singer recorded the album in England with ex-Suede guitarist-turned-producer Bernard Butler. It is due out Stateside on May 13.

Duffy has several performances lined up at Austin's South by Southwest Festival next week. She'll also play a date at New York's Hiro Ballroom on March 17 as well as California's Coachella Festival on April 27.

Thank god, I though we'd have to listen to chasing pavements forever.

Why so many lies or at least untruths ? Bernard Butler produced three tracks - none of the hits, except 'rock ferry' which barely scraped the top 50 - Steve Brooker produced the massive hit 'Mercy' and Jimmy Hogarth produced the next single !!

Duffy is a brilliant singer. I think that it's great her album is going to be sold in the USA. Good luck Duffy!!
