It's a double Number One for the singer

Duffy has scored a UK chart double tonight (March 9), topping both the albums and singles countdown.

Her LP ’Rockferry’ has pushed Amy Winehouse’s deluxe release of ’Back To Black’ down to Number Two, while ’Mercy’ remains Number One in the singles chart.

Otherwise there is little movement in the singles Top Ten, which looks like this:

1. Duffy – ‘Mercy’
2. H Two O Ft Platnum – ‘What's It Gonna Be’
3. Nickelback – ‘Rockstar’
4. OneRepublic – ‘Stop And Stare’
5. Taio Cruz Ft Luciana – ‘Come On Girl’
6. Basshunter – ‘Now You're Gone’
7. Alphabeat – ‘Fascination’
8. Westlife – ‘Us Against The World’
9. Flo Rida Ft T-pain – ‘Low’
10. Rihanna – ‘Don't Stop The Music’

Other than Duffy’s debut success, Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds are a new entry at Number Four in the albums chart.

Britain's gone mad!!! She's trying to be a welsh Amy Winehouse, and it frankly, to me, isn't working.Lose the alter ego, and come back when you're not copying a sucessful artist. Alphabeat's 'Fascination' should have charted higher, and for God's sake, stop buying Nickelback...it's the worst song ever written. Buy the Wombats 'Moving to New York' or somebody good at least.
