Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Kevin Hart to host MTV Movie Awards 2016

The duo will team up again for the 25th movie ceremony in April

Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock and Kevin Hart are going to tag-team the 25th annual MTV Movie Awards.

The pair will take centre stage handing out MTV’s golden popcorn awards at the ceremony on Sunday, April 10 2016.

Johnson, who co-stars with Hart in spy comedy Central Intelligence, said: “It’s an honor to be hosting the MTV Movie Awards with a guy who’s not only one of the funniest guys on the planet, but who’s often mistaken as my twin, Kevin Hart.

“We live for our fans and promise to make this an epic, historic unforgettable night for them.”

Meanwhile Hart said: “I love hosting – it’s my thing. Dwayne and I are the perfect team for the epic 25th anniversary show. It’s going to go down.”

At 5pm on Sunday, February 21 the pair will be streamed live on Facebook, Meerkat, YouNow, Periscope and YouTube to chat to fans about what they want to see from their when they host this year.

This year’s ceremony will take place outside at Warner Bros Studios lot in Burbank with the full list of nominees set to be announced in coming weeks.
