Jesse Hughes turns 36 tomorrow

The Hives are gearing up for a 24-hour birthday celebration with Eagles Of Death Metal frontman Jesse 'The Devil' Hughes.

Speaking to NME.COM, The Hives said they're planning to partake in the festivities with Josh Homme's bandmate out in the California desert during a break in their co-headlining US tour.

"Jesse has a big plan -- we're going out to crash his studio in the desert and we're gonna do 24 hours packed with stuff he would like to do," said Hives drummer Chris Dangerous.

"It's his birthday so he gets to decide," added guitarist Nicholaus Arson. "If he says so we'll give it a try. We'll tag along and see what happens. He's quite a character."

Hughes will celebrate his 36th birthday tomorrow (September 24).
