East 17's Brian Harvey featuring in Royal Academy exhibition
Boy band star in Nicky Carvell's degree show work
East 17 have found themselves in the Royal Academy graduation art show thanks to the work of 25 year-old student Nicky Carvell.
The art student has used pictures of the band in her degree display, with Tony Mortimer and Brian Harvey taking centre stage.
A picture of Harvey, taken from an East 17 annual, features in a piece named 'We Can All Admire All We See, But In The End We Can Only Choose One'. The piece is available to buy for £2,500.
"He was the rebel," said Carvell of Harvey. "So my work is looking at him from a distance, more disenchanted."
Carvell, a dedicated East 17 fan and Royal Academy Schools student, decided not to invite Harvey to the show, saying "I'd hate that. I don't want to meet him. It would be a big letdown," reports This Is London
The degree show is open until June 28 at the Royal Academy, London.
East 17 are set to play Glastonbury's Dance Village on June 25.
