The Echo & The Bunnyman frontman joins his pals...

COLDPLAY have roped in their pal IAN McCULLOCH as support on their forthcoming UK arena tour.

The band had already announced that Feeder would be supporting them at the sold-out shows, which take place at Manchester MEN Arena on April 14 and London Earl's Court on April 16-17. Now the [/a] frontman, who releases a solo album, 'Slideling', on April 28, will also join them.

Coldplay struck up a friendship with McCulloch while recording their NME Album Of The Year 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' album in Liverpool.

Chris Martin joined [a] onstage to sing backing vocals on 'Nothing Lasts Forever' when the group supported New Order in London's Finsbury Park last year.
