Echo And The Bunnymen keyboard player Jake Brockman has died after being involved in a motorbike crash on the Isle Of Man.
Brockman, who joined the band as a full-time member in 1989, died on Tuesday (September 1) after a motorcycle he was riding collided with a converted ambulance near Kirk Michael, reports BBC News.
His bandmates paid tribute to Brockman on their official website, Bunnymen.com, writing: "Our thoughts are with his wife, family and friends."
As well as playing with Echo And The Bunnymen, Brockman was half of dance duo BOM alongside Spiritualized's Damon Reece.
His wife Sally Mundy said: "Jake was always a classic bike enthusiast. He loved sailing, though he was invariably seasick. Music was central to Jake's life."
The band's new album, 'Fountains', is set for release on October 12, and will feature Brockman's music.
