The Plug kicks off with October shows

Editors 2005
Editors are set open a new music venue in Sheffield.

The band will play the inaugural night at The Plug on October 4, the new club based in the city’s Matilda Street.

Sheffield natives the Arctic Monkeys are then set to help the venue get off ground with two shows (October 15 and 22), before gigs from Ladytron (17) and Martha Wainwright (November 6).

The 1500 capacity venue, which expanded the site previous taken by club .Zero, also boasts a new soundsystem, which was unexpectedly purchased from Jools Holland.

The Plug will be staging regular club nights too, for more information go to the-plug.com.
