Editors reveal new album release date

Third effort set for September release

Editors have revealed that their forthcoming third album, 'In This Light And On This Evening', will be released on September 21.

The album will be the follow-up to the Birmingham-band's 2007 Number One album 'The End Has A Start'.

In a statement frontman Tom Smith outlined that the album was heavily influenced by the city of London.

"I actually think it’s in every song," he said. "In the right time and place, in the right light and on the right evening, something you have seen 1,000 times before can still take your breath away."

Editors recently announced details of a UK tour for October.

See next week's issue of NME, out July 1, for an exclusive in-the-studio interview with Editors.
