Editors showcase new album at intimate nightclub gig Editors Tickets

Band preview 'In This Light And On This Evening' at London's Fabric

Editors showcased tracks from their forthcoming third album at an intimate one off gig last night (September 16).

Playing in the unusual surroundings of London nightclub Fabric, the band performed a selection of tracks from 'In This Light And On This Evening' which is released on September 21.

With many of the new songs boasting a sci-fi feel that recalled themes like that from 'Terminator', the Birmingham band were constantly switching between their regular instruments and an array of vintage synthesizers and keyboards throughout for songs like 'Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool', 'You Don't Know Love', 'The Big Exit', 'Bricks And Mortar', 'Walk The Fleet Road' and current single 'Papillon'.

Along with the new album preview, the band also played a series of older songs including 'Blood', 'An End Has A Start' and former B-side, now live favourite, 'You Are Fading'.

The new album is going to be massive. As always, they're seizing their moment with the right sounds at just right the time. Ignore the naysayers, these boys know exactly what they're doing and what they're doing is immense.
