Editors have announced plans for their only UK show of the year.

The indie band, who are currently working on their fourth studio album, will play Birmingham's HMV Institute on June 27. Tickets are on sale now.

Earlier this week, Editors announced that they have parted ways with guitarist Chris Urbanowicz. The band posted a lengthy statement on their website which says that the guitarist had left "in a decision entirely based upon future musical direction" and that Urbanowicz's departure is "entirely amicable".

The band added that they are "super excited" about their fourth album and have said that they are "trying to introduce new elements" to their sound. You can read the full statement at Editorsofficial.com.

Editors last studio album 'In This Light And On This Evening' was released in October 2009. Editors play two European festival shows this summer; Main Square Festival in Arras, France on June 29 and Rock Werchter in Belgium on June 30.
