Egyptian Hip Hop helped to kick off the musical action at this year’s Glastonbury festival, playing an early evening slot in the Queen’s Head venue today (June 24).

Although music on the main stages does not gear up until tomorrow, the Manchester trio were among a number of acts, including Two Door Cinema Club and Chapel Club, playing sets in the tent today.

The venue was packed out for Two Door Cinema Club’s set, with many fans sticking around to catch Egyptian Hip Hop, who played a subdued and chat-free set that included forthcoming new EP title track ’Rad Pitt’.

Earlier in the day Prince Charles made a surprise visit to the site, on which fans have been enjoying sunny weather so far.

NME will be coming live from Glastonbury throughout the weekend. Head to NME.COM/glastonbury for the latest festival news.
