MALKMUS FRISCH-ENS THINGS UP

ELASTICA's JUSTINE FRISCHMANN has revealed she is to tour in the New Year with ex-PAVEMENT mainman STEPHEN MALKMUS, playing guitar in his band.

Frischmann revealed the news last night (December 18) on Steve Lamacq's Evening Session on BBC Radio 1.

When asked what the New Year held for her, Frischmann said she was heading out on the road with Malkmus, playing guitar and keyboards. She did not reveal if she would be joining for the entire tour or if the dates would be only in the UK.

A spokesperson for Frischmann confirmed that it had been talked about and that the pair are friends but insisted nothing had been set in stone. It was a line echoed by a spokesperson for Malkmus.

The UK tour is slated for April, with a one-off show sometime in February.

Malkmus releases his self-titled debut solo album through Domino on February 12.
