Guy Garvey wants the Oxford five-piece to sign up to his record label
Elbow frontman Guy Garvey is calling on Radiohead to sign a deal with his record label.
The singer, who runs Skinny Dog Records, home to the likes of I Am Kloot, has made a personal appeal through NME.COM for the Oxford quintet to join the artist label.
Radiohead are currently out of contract and are still to sign to a record label.
And Garvey reckons Skinny Dog Records can offer them a deal they can't refuse.
He told NME.COM: "They haven't got a record deal at the minute and being the coolest record label in the land we're gonna offer them a deal. Because it is an artist run label we can offer really fair terms so we thought Radiohead might be interested. We're huge fans of the band and we can offer them really good percentages. I can't see why they wouldn't wanna be on. We are the best record label in the world."
Elbow have just returned to the UK following a two-week tour of the US.
Speaking about the dates, Garvey added: "We haven't been there for about three and-a-half years and the audience size has almost trebled. Because the last album was called 'Leaders Of The Free World' it brought all the freethinkers out. They were electric - some of the best gigs I've ever done."
