Band also big up Jay-Z during Other Stage set

Elbow were joined by their pal Richard Hawley during their rapturous Other Stage appearance at Glastonbury tonight (June 28).

Guy Garvey led his band through a set at sundown comprising of songs from Elbow's recent album, 'The Seldom Seen Kid', as well as older classics.

Before playing 'The Fix', Garvey introduced his singer/guitarist pal, who appears on the album version of the song. Hawley walked on stage to huge cheers and played guitar and sang with the band.

The group were also joined by a string section for set closer 'One Day Like This', with frontman Garvey commenting: "I haven't even met some of them!"

Garvey also commented on the controversy surrounding tonight's Pyramid Stage headliner Jay-Z, saying: "The Eavis family have thrown the best party for decades, so I think they know what they're doing."

He also told the crowd before playing 'Leaders Of The Free World': "You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

Elbow played:

'Starlings'
'The Bones Of You'
'Leaders Of The Free World'
'Mirror Ball'
'Grounds For Divorce'
'The Fix'
'The Loneliness Of A Tower Crane Driver'
'Newborn'
'Station Approach'
'One Day Like This'
