Elbow's Guy Garvey launches his own Glastonbury lost property service

Singer aims to return lost camera with NME.COM

Elbow's Guy Garvey has teamed up with NME.COM to return a piece of Glastonbury lost property.

The singer found a digital camera while at last month's festival, and is looking to return it to its rightful owner.

"I found a nice little camera in the middle of a field and I was having such a great day that I thought to myself this might spoil some poor bugger's Glastonbury," Garvey told NME.COM.

"The lost property office at Glastonbury must be snowed under every year, so i took some ['Columbo' actor] Peter Falk initiative, looked at the last couple of photos on it and decided to find its owner myself. In my experience most people return or hand in lost stuff. Being a scatterbrain myself I have benefitted from this many times, I hope we find the owner."

Garvey has given us the last photo taken on the camera (pictured) – he assures us he hasn't looked through the rest – so if this is you and you can prove it contact us at news@nme.com with Garvey in the subject.

The Elbow singer will then do his best to return the camera.

Elbow, meanwhile will play a homecoming show in Manchester this week (July 9), which will see the band accompanied by The Halle Orchestra.
