Tickets for Ellie Goulding's lengthy UK tour go onsale today (September 21) at 9am (BST).

The singer, who releases her long-awaited second album 'Halcyon' next month, will play nine shows at the tail end of 2012.

The run of shows begins at the O2 Academy in Bristol on December 7 and continues until December 18 when the singer plays Southampton Guildhall.

The tour also includes stops in Liverpool, London, Glasgow, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham and Manchester.

Goulding is also booked to headline London's Roundhouse on September 26 as part of London's iTunes Festival.

'Halcyon' contains a total of 10 tracks, including the singer's recent single 'Anything Could Happen' and 'Hanging On', her collaboration with Tinie Tempah, which was made available as a free download earlier this year.

The album is the follow-up to Goulding's hugely successful debut album 'Lights', which was released in 2010.
