Ex-lovers Ellie Goulding and Skrillex are set to release a collaborative musical project in 2013.

Goulding has said that despite breaking up recently, the pair are still on good terms and will continue to work with each other.

Speaking to The Sun, the singer songwriter said:

Me and my ex Sonny are good mates, we're even going to make music together next year. Our own little project which will be released.

Skrillex – real name Sonny Moore – produced Goulding's song 'Bittersweet', which features on the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

Goulding said: ''Everyone loves the Twilight track. We work really well together, we've found we really do connect in that way. It will be something a bit more electronic, it won't be like my music.''

Last month Skrillex and Ellie Goulding ended their relationship after nine months together.

Goulding blamed the split on the long-distance nature of the relationship. Goulding is based in London and currently promoting her new album 'Halcyon' around the world whist Skrillex lives in the United States.

The couple met when Goulding was recruited to record vocals on Skrillex's track 'Summit'.
