Ellie Goulding has covered Hozier’s hit Take Me To Church, sharing her cover version on Soundcloud.

Hozier’s single recently reached No 2 in the UK, having originally been released in September 2013. It was beaten to No 1 by Goulding’s current single Love Me Like You Do, which is taken from the 50 Shades Of Grey soundtrack.

Goulding is currently working on her third album, the follow-up to 2012’s Halcyon. The only confirmed producer is Joel Little, who co-produced Lorde’s album Pure Heroine. Goulding told The Sun: “I’m really into science and nature at the moment. I’m reading about the beginning of the universe and watching David Attenborough documentaries. If I could somehow utilise his voice in a recording with me, it would be awesome.”

In September 2014, Goulding told Vibe the album is likely to be released this year, adding: “I’ve got a lot more free time to just get in the studio.” She plays at Barclaycard British Summertime on June 27 with Taylor Swift at London’s Hyde Park and at V Festival in August.

Hozier releases his new single Someone New on March 23. He tours in May.

Hozier will play:
Newcastle O2 Academy (May 22)
Manchester Albert Hall (25)
Glasgow Barrowland (27)
Leeds O2 Academy (28)
County Meath Slane Castle (30)
London Roundhouse (June 1)
London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire (2)
London Forum (3)
