Ellie Goulding has claimed she was misquoted in a newspaper article about her use of IV drips.

Goulding has expressed concern at the Metro, which has been described as saying she had "used an IV drip and sometimes doesn't have time to eat all day" by misquoting an article that was written for fashion publication Red.

According to BBC News, the 'On My Mind' creator defended her lifestyle, tweeting: "Actually I detest IV drips and only ever had one once years ago at the point of extreme exhaustion, and couldn't even complete it". She concluded: "I can usually laugh off misquotes and ignore but this is a genuinely dangerous and irresponsible one"










The article's original author, Sophie Heawood, also took to twitter to defend her interview subject:




Last week, photographer Conor Mcdonnell described how he and Goulding fought for survival in life threatening conditions in Norway after losing their mode of transport in a weather related incident.
