Elliot Smith book on the way

A book is on the way featuring intimate and revealing photos of the late songwriter Elliot Smith.

Photographer Autumn De Wilde has published ‘Elliot Smith’ featuring rare photographs, interviews and a CD of previously unreleased songs.

The book features conversations with many of Smith’s collaborators and confidantes, as well as musicians that have been inspired by the late musicians’ work.

The book will include a CD of five songs recorded live at Largo in Los Angeles in 1997, with the foreword written by Beck and Death Cab For Cutie’s Chris Walla.

The songs are:

‘Between the Bars’
‘Angeles’
‘Clementine’
‘Clouds’ (original by Quasi)
‘All My Rowdy Friends Have Settled Down’ (original by Hank Williams Jr.)

De Wilde has been a longtime collaborator of a string of acts including Beck, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The White Stripes andModest Mouse.

‘Elliot Smith’ will be available in November of this year.
