Singer celebrates his 60th birthday with unique show
Elton John is preparing to celebrate his 60th birthday with a record breaking live show at New York's Madison Square Garden tonight (March 25).
The sell-out show will be the singer's 60th appearance at the arena.
His most famous performance at the venue was in November 1974 where he was joined by John Lennon in his last concert performance before his death.
The gig will follow a private birthday party to be held in Manhattan.
The gig will begin at 20:30 New York time (01:30 BST on Monday, March 26), and will be shown live on the internet on MSN. It will be broadcast on ITV1 on Thursday (March 29), reports the BBC.
