Art owned by the singer is not child pornography

The Crown Prosecution Service have ruled that a controversial piece of art owned by Elton John is not child pornography.

As previously reported, the picture was confiscated by police the day before its inclusion in an exhibition at Gateshead’s Baltic Centre For Contemporary Art .

The photo, ‘Klara And Edda Belly-Dancing’ by Nan Goldin, has not been classed as an indecent image, following recent controversy.

The rest of the exhibition, which consisted of Elton John’s private collection of art, was allowed to remain at the gallery.
