Elton John for London O2 Arena New Year's Eve

17,000 fans can see in the new year with Elton

Elton John has announced that he will play a gig on New Year's Eve (December 31) at the London O2 Arena.

The show will be produced by photographer David LaChapelle.

"I can't wait to spend New Year's Eve with 17,000 of my biggest fans," the singer said.

Earlier this week John announced that he would tour with Billy Joel next year from March.

On US TV show The View he said the jaunt would last "for at least two years, on and off, all over the world".

God, how many flowers does this man need to buy? He's constantly on the make. Personally I'd rather remove my eyelashes with a pair of tweezers than see this old twonk.
