Elton John postpones Dublin O2 Arena show
Elton John has postponed tonight's (October 30) gig at the Dublin O2 – the final night of his world tour – due to illness.

The singer had already pulled a series of tour dates previously, with an announcement on his official website, Eltonjohn.com, explaining that he had not recovered in time to be able to perform.

"He is bitterly disappointed not to playing Dublin," John's spokesperson said. "He had picked Dublin to close the Red Piano [tour] worldwide, because of the great warmth of the people and the great concerts he had in the city over many years. He is hoping to reschedule the dates in the very near future."

Ticketholders were advised by the gig's promoters to retain their tickets and await details as they attempt to reschedule the show.
