ELVIS COSTELLO - NOT A GOOD SPORT!

The legend refuses to reimburse fans after turning up late…

Elvis Costello has refused to refund an audience members after arriving on stage late last month.

Elvis Costello, like many other bands that night, waited for the Liverpool vs AC Milan Champions League Final to end before beginning his gig at the University Of East Anglia on May 25.

After the match’s dramatic penalty kicks conclusion Elvis Costello, an ardent Liverpool fan since his boyhood, took the stage to play a reduced set. He has subsequently refused to reimburse audience members who complained.

Echoing the sneering, angry young man of his early career, Elvis Costello told Ireland Online: "Those who've asked for their money back should stay at home reading their cookbooks over a nice cup of Horlicks, while listening to their K-Tel collection of punk rock classics."
