ROCK VETERANS BRING ATTENTION TO LANDMINE CRISIS

The rock veterans aid a good cause...

Veteran singer-songwriters STEVE EARLE, ELVIS COSTELLO, EMMYLOU HARRIS, JOHN PRINE and NANCI GRIFFITH are about to set out on a brief tour of Europe to raise money and awareness the LANDMINE FREE WORLD campaign.

The artists will share the bill in six cities - Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Stockholm and Oslo - between January 13 - 20. The tour was taken place in the US for the past three years, though this is the first time it has hit Europe.

All proceeds of the concerts will support programmes of the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation's (VVAF) that assist innocent victims of conflict around the world and work to raise public awareness of the global landmine crisis.

The tour dates are as follows:
Belfast Waterfront Hall (January 13), featuring Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith
Dublin, The Point (14) featuring Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith
Glasgow Clyde Auditorium (15) featuring Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith, John Prine
London Hammersmith Apollo (17) featuring Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith, John Prine
Stockholm The Annexe (19) featuring Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith, John Prine
Oslo Konserthus (20) featuring Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Nanci Griffith, John Prine
