A reworked collection of Elvis Presley songs are to feature on a new album as part of his 75th birthday celebrations.

The record - 'Viva Elvis' - sees the late singer's songs revamped with the aim of showing what his songs would sound like if he was still performing.

"We set out to evoke the soul and spirit of Elvis Presley while building a bridge between his music and future generations of fans,"
said producer Erich van Tourneau.

'Burning Love', 'Suspicious Minds', 'Blue Suede Shoes' and 'It's Now or Never' are among the songs that have been reimagined and transformed for the record.

The album, which is due out in November, is based on the musical of the same name which opened in Las Vegas earlier this year.

For more information go to Vivaelvis.com. Presley would have celebrated his 75th birthday on January 8 this year.
