Emeli Sande has returned to the top of the Official Albums Chart with 'Our Version Of Events', switching places with '21' by Adele.

The Brits' Critic Choice winner returns to the summit for her second week at Number One since the release of her debut album three weeks ago. Sales of the album are approaching the quarter of a million copies mark, and the record has never left the Top Two.

The shift in positions has denied Adele one more week at the top of the chart which would have seen her overtake David Bowie for the number of career weeks spent at Number One, reports the Official Charts Company.

The singer's second studio album lands at Number Two in its 58th week on the chart.

Elsewhere, Pink Floyd’s reissue of classic album The Wall is new in at Number 22, while The Ting Tings return to the Official Albums Chart with second studio offering 'Sounds From Nowheresville' (23).

In the singles chart, Gotye holds on to the Number One spot with 'Somebody That I Used To Know', beating off competition from Dappy Ft. Brian May with 'Rockstar', which landed at Number Two.

This marks Gotye’s ninth week on the chart and his third non-consecutive week occupying the Number 1 slot.
