Rita Ora knocks Emeli Sande from the top of the Official UK Album Chart

X Factor girl group Little Mix score a Number One single with 'Wings'

Rita Ora knocks Emeli Sande from the top of the Official UK Album Chart
Rita Ora has gone straight in at Number One in the Official UK Album Chart, with her debut LP, 'Ora'.

The London singer knocked Emeli Sande's 'Our Version of Events' from the top spot. Other new entries in the Top 10, include Of Monsters and Men, who've gone in at Number Three with 'My Head Is An Animal' and Elbow with their b-sides collection 'Dead In The Boot at Four'.

Elsewhere in the chart, Alanis Morissette's new album 'Havoc and Bright Lights' entered at Number 12, and Noisettes' 'Contact' at Number 30.

There's also a new Number One in the Official UK Singles Chart, with X Factor winners Little Mix's song 'Wings'. Wings has pushed Sam and The Womp's track 'Bom Bom' into Number Two. There are no other new entries in the Top 10.

In the run-up to the release of Ora, Rita Ora scored three UK Number One singles. The 21-year-old singer, who is signed to Jay-Z's Roc Nation label, made her Official UK Singles Chart debut at Number One in February featuring on DJ Fresh's 'Hot Right Now'. She followed that with 'RIP' with Tinie Tempah, which was Number One in May, and she also topped the chart with 'How We Do (Party)'. All three tracks broke the 100,000 sales barrier in their first week.
