EMINEM's ex-wife KIM MATHERS pleaded innocent yesterday (July 2) in a MICHIGAN courtroom to cocaine possession charges stemming from her arrest early last month.

Mathers was charged with unsafe driving, and driving with a suspended licence when she was arrested on June 10 on Interstate 94 near St Clair Shores in Michigan. At the time of the arrest, police also recovered two small plastic bags containing a "white powdery substance" from Mathers' Cadillac.

After analysis by the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory in Sterling Heights, the substance was confirmed to be cocaine.

According to Rolling Stone, Mathers could face up to five years in prison if convicted, and is due in court for a preliminary hearing on September 9. She was arrested and charged with cocaine possession in 2001, but was not convicted.
