Papers filed after only three months
Eminem is to divorce his wife Kim – less than three months after they were married for the second time.
Court papers filed in Michigan reveal a “breakdown” in the relationship. The pair wed in January this year for the second time – originally the rapper married Kim in 1999.
The pair have a daughter, Hailie Jade Scott. Eminem is seeking joint custody.
“I can confirm the divorce papers have been filed," the rapper’s US spokesperson told Reuters. "Beyond that we have no comment."
Eminem’s relationship with Kim has been the motivation behind a number of the rapper’s songs over the years, most famously ’Kim’. Their original divorce was in 2001.
