Eminem pays tribute to Proof
Rapper attends friend's funeral
Eminem has paid tribute to the late rapper and D-12 bandmate Proof.
As previously reported, the Detroit rapper - who was best man when Eminem remarried at the beginning of the year - was killed during a nightclub shooting last week.
Eminem attended his friend’s funeral in Detroit on April 19, following his tribute posted on the D-12's official website.
As previously reported wrote Eminem: "You don't know where to begin when you lose somebody who's been such a big part of your life for so long. Proof and I were brothers."
Calling his friend an "ambassador of Detroit hip-hop", he added: "Without Proof's guidance and encouragement there would have been a Marshall Mathers, but probably not an Eminem and certainly never a Slim Shady."
Proof was killed during the shooting on 8 Mile road in Detroit – the neighbourhood where Eminem’s semi-autobiographical film of the same name was set.
