Rapper signs over song rights

Eminem has signed a new record deal deal with Universal Publishing.

By signing the worldwide exclusive deal with the music group the Detroit rapper has signed over the rights to a number of his tunes.

Songs include everything from his greatest hits collection, ‘Curtain Call’, tracks from ‘Eminem Presents: The Re-Up' and a number of tracks on which he has collaborated with other artists.

Universal Music Publishing Group chairman David Renzer said: " is an icon for millions of music fans around the globe.

"We are honoured that he and his representatives have chosen Universal Music Publishing Group as their new home."

As part of the deal, Universal will launch Shady Music Publishing, which will give the rapper an opportunity to sign other artists.
