Eminem has confirmed that he is working on new material in the studio, likely to be set for a new album.
The rapper said that the recording process had been going well when he phoned into his own US radio station, Shade 45, initially pretending to be an unsigned artist in order to prank call LL Cool J, who was a guest on the station.
According to MTV News, Eminem revealed his real identity after he rapped on air and LL Cool J began to suspect that it was in fact Eminem on the phone.
Eminem then said: "Everything is good. I'm just in the studio right now working on songs and stuff like that."
The forthcoming new album will be Eminem's fifth, and his first studio album of new material since 2004's 'Encore'.
