Eminem, Lady Gaga and Jay-Z bag multiple Grammy nominations

Plus Arcade Fire up for the Best Album Award

Eminem has bagged 10 nominations for the forthcoming Grammy awards - with Jay-Z and Lady Gaga being nominated for six.

Among the awards the rapper is nominated for are Album Of The Year (for 'Recovery') and Record Of The Year (for 'Love The Way You Lie' with Rihanna).

Mumford & Sons and Florence + The Machine are representing the British in the Best Newcomer category – for which Justin Bieber and Drake are also nominated.

Also flying the flag for UK acts are La Roux and Goldfrapp. Their songs 'In For The Kill' and 'Rocket' are up for the Best Dance Recording award, and both are nominated for the Best Electronic/Dance Album award.

Arcade Fire are up for the Album Of The Year gong with their latest effort 'The Suburbs', with Lady Gaga and Katy Perry also nominated.

The music awards ceremony takes place on February 13 next year in Los Angeles.
