EMINEM could become the first pop star to score a Christmas Number One in the UK while behind bars if he winds up in jail after his court appearance in MICHIGAN tomorrow (December 8).
Eminem is currently on course to hit the top of the singles chart this Sunday (December 10) with his new single 'Stan', which has sold 67,514 copies, outselling Bob The Builder's 'Can We Fix It?', which has sold 62,284.
The bad-boy rapper was released on $100,000 bail in June after pleading not guilty to charges of assault and carrying a concealed weapon, which was unloaded, outside a nightclub in Warren, Michigan.
Tomorrow, he will appear for a pre-trial hearing at Macomb County Court, and while there have been discussions between Eminem's lawyers and the Prosecutor over a possible settlement, nothing has yet been agreed, and Prosecutor Carl Marlinga has previously stated that he will request a jail sentence of between six months and a year if he wins a conviction against Marshall Mathers.
