Eminem announces 2013 album – on a baseball cap

New merchandise item suggests "landmark" solo album to come next year

Eminem has leaked details of a new solo album to come in 2013 – via a commemorative baseball cap sold on his website .

The item – named the Eminem Baseball Tribute Champ Hat – is described as being "in honour of the big games and the hometown team's return to The D". Its side panel lists the years of "landmark Eminem solo albums": 1996, 1999, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2009, 2010 – and 2013.

A title, or more specific release date, has not been released. The caps are priced at $30 and a portion of the proceeds will go to The Marshall Mathers Foundation.

In September, Eminem duetted with Pink on the track 'Here Comes The Weekend', taken from the Pink's new album 'The Truth About Love'.

Speaking about how she and the rapper arranged the collaboration, Pink said: "He said, 'Do you want to do a song with me?' 'Fuck yeah!' I said, 'Do you want to do a song with me?' and he said, 'Fuck yeah!' Handshake. Nothing signed. Done."
